Tate & Lyle Global Shared Services Centre in Łódź is the principal location for handling the business support activities and processes for Tate & Lyle, both transactional as well as value-added business partnering support. Starting operations in 2011 with less than 50 people, we now have over 350 employees supporting operations globally. We have 30 teams operating in Łódź to provide service in the areas of Finance, Customer Service, Procurement, HR/People Services, and IS/IT

About this role:

The Category Sales Assistant plays a key role in supporting day to day category activity, marketing efforts, and administration. This role involves coordinating meetings and travel, managing sales documentation, supporting marketing activities, handling SharePoint and Salesforce tasks, and assisting with forecasting and reporting. Additionally, the role may require collaboration with Sales Operations.

Accountabilities:

  • Face to Face Meeting Coordination
    • Arrange hotel, transport, and meeting venue bookings
    • Check flight availability and manage travel logistics.
    • Plan and organize team-building activities.
    • Assist with customer meetings and audits
  • Sales & Documentation Support (TQ Portal)
    • Maintain product specifications and product information.
    • Manage packaging specifications and required certificates.
    • Organize specification documents, packets, and questionnaires.
    • Prepare reports, including: Open orders (blocked orders), Pipeline report, Contract balance report, Forecast vs. Contract Balance vs. AOP vs. Actual, Contract Balance vs. Forecast comparison, Forecast calculations
  • Marketing & Customer presentation support
    • Support and execute joint-marketing activations (events, trade shows, digital campaigns) collaborating with CDP managers
    • Equip sales team with marketing collateral and mouthfeel positioning to accelerate demand and category expansion
    • Create/update PowerPoint presentations or Update Leaflets in preparation of client meetings
  • Administrative Support
    • Manage SharePoint sites, including main pages and folders.
    • Organize and store category documents such as files, pictures, reports, and presentations.
  • Salesforce Management
    • Order samples and generate reports from dashboards (volumes, profit, etc.).
    • Edit and add information, including contact and account creation.
    • Edit and amend price list
  • Additional Sales & Forecasting Tasks:
    • Manage volume and delivery issues within the allocation file.
    • Conduct forecasting using OMP.
    • Analyse sales history reports.
    • Compare T&L vs. customer product specifications.
  • May Support Sales Operations with contract creation and modifications during peak seasons.

Skills/Experience (Individual Contributor):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in sales support, administrative roles, or similar.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint).
  • Experience with Salesforce and OMP forecasting tools is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
