Job Description

We are currently seeking a QA Automation Engineer to help build, enhance, and maintain robust test automation frameworks.

As a QA Automation Engineer at Sage, you will collaborate with a wider team of developers and manual testers, and ensure our products meet high quality standards. You’ll be involved in designing, implementing, and executing automated test scripts, identifying areas for process improvement, and supporting CI/CD efforts.

• Please note that this role is hybrid and will require you to work 3 days a week from our Cluj office. ***

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of automated test suites for our scalable UI web application framework.
• Collaborate with developers and manual testers to integrate testing into the development lifecycle and improve overall product quality.
• Write reliable, maintainable test scripts and ensure good coverage of critical functionality.
• Use AI copilots and automation tools to improve efficiency and reduce manual efforts.
• Be proactive in identifying testing gaps and suggesting improvements to processes and tools.
• Continuously learn new automation frameworks and technologies, staying adaptable to project needs.

Requirements

• Solid experience with test automation tools (e.g., Cypress, Playwright, Selenium)
• Working knowledge of JavaScript, with willingness to learn other languages (such as Python) if needed.
• Experience with Agile development practices and familiarity with issue tracking tools like Jira.
• Good problem-solving skills, ability to adapt to changing requirements, and eagerness to learn new technologies.
• Organized, responsible, and able to manage your own work effectively within the team.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests.
• Familiarity with AI copilots for productivity.
• Experience with performance or security testing tools.
