Position: Homeownership Program Coordinator/IDA Specialist*
Department: Homeownership and Neighborhood Programs
Reports to: Homeownership Program Manager
Status: regular full-time, hourly, non-exempt
Compensation: $19.45 to $26.00 hourly

Position Overview:
The Homeownership Program Coordinator will work directly with Habitat homebuyers ensuring that they make a successful transition to homeownership. This position will serve as the coordinator for the organization’s IDA program. In addition, this position will support the Homeownership Program Manager with the selection of new homebuyers.
Responsibilities:
Homebuyer support (65%)
- Provide continuing support to Habitat homebuyers including assisting with the design and administration of meetings, pre-purchase classes, events, and programs that support a successful transition to homeownership.
- Monitor homebuyer completion of sweat equity, classes, and other program requirements in accordance with home purchase timeline.
- Coordinate with the Volunteer and Construction Departments regarding homebuyer volunteer opportunities at active build sites.
- Monitor scheduling and completion of sweat equity, send monthly sweat equity reports to homebuyers.
- Maintain monthly engagement with all homebuyers through mailings, texts, emails and meetings.
- Coordinate interior option selection with homebuyers and the Construction Department.
- Coordinate donations for ‘Welcome Home’ gifts for new homeowners.
- Coordinate community celebrations after the completion of each new neighborhood to foster a sense of community amongst new homeowners.
- Work in partnership with the Education and Post Purchase Manage to ensure pre-purchase education meets the standards of various funders.
- Create and sustain strong working partnerships with other members of the team and contribute to Habitat’s culture of teamwork and collaboration.
- Other duties as assigned by the Homeownership Program Manager.
Individual Development Accounts (IDA) (20%)
- Prioritize available IDA funds and identify equitable strategy to enroll Habitat homebuyers in the IDA matched savings program
- Work in collaboration with Fiduciary Organization, DevNW, and IDA Initiative Administrator, Neighborhood Partnerships
- Attend Oregon IDA Initiative events and professional development trainings.
- Assist Habitat homebuyers in applying for the Habitat IDA Program.
- Conduct orientations with new clients to ensure understanding of program requirements.
- Assist participants in opening and maintaining savings plan agreements and accounts.
- Work in partnership with the Closing Coordinator to coordinate the process of IDA funds disburse at home purchase
- Work in partnership with Education and Post Purchase Manager to maintain education program compliance for the IDA program.
Homebuyer selection (15%)
- Support the Homeownership Program Manager, as needed, in the homeowner application and selection process including application processing, assisting with all workshops and meetings, and follow-up communication on applications.
- Support applicants through homebuyer application process and refer them to relevant partners or resources.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience*:
- Minimum one year of experience supporting clients from diverse backgrounds in a social service or housing setting. Experience can be professional, volunteer or lived.
- Commitment to working with clients in need of affordable housing and advancing the critical call for affordable homeownership.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, effective communication with culturally and linguistically diverse clientele.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and planning skills and the ability to think strategically.
- Commitment to regularly engaging in organization wide diversity, equity, and inclusion work.
- Excel at multi-tasking with various projects and deadlines; attention to detail a must.
- Strong commitment to communication and collaboration within the department and with other departments, ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office, databases, and ability to learn and adapt as the needs of the job and available technology evolves.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, open, team-oriented, business casual office.
- Able to work occasional evenings and weekends to accommodate the meeting needs of homebuyers.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- Any qualifying combination of education, certification, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
- Lived experience navigating housing programs
- Verbal fluency in Vietnamese, Burmese, Spanish, Arabic, Russian, or Amharic.
- Experience working with Salesforce or similar CRMs.
- Knowledge of area social services and community resources.
- Experience, either personal or professional, with IDA Matched Savings Accounts
