Essential Functions
The Russian program at UTSA seeks an instructor for Spring 2022 to teach one course, provisionally titled “Russia in the Fake News.” Students of all majors will read, analyze, and discuss pertinent social, political, and geopolitical narratives about Russia across a variety of English and Russian media. This course is cross-listed in Comparative Studies in the Humanities. Students in the CSH section will do analysis on English language sources and in the RUS section, students will analyze Russian language sources.
Required Qualifications
Ph.D. in Russian language, literature and culture; knowledge of 21st and 20th century Russian literature, culture, and politics.
Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative methods from a digital humanities perspective toward the study of Russian culture.
Working Conditions
Remote: Coursework will primarily be delivered online.
