City of Woodburn Public Library is looking for a Library Assistant to perform a variety of routine paraprofessional and clerical duties in the library, including helping the library’s youngest users find books and other materials, select games, and use computers. Library assistants in youth services also assist with the development and implementation of story times, crafts, and other programs for children, and they help to maintain order in the room and work at the circulation desk.
The schedule is not to exceed 19 hours per week, between 11am and 7pm Mon-Tue; 9am-5pm Wed-Fri, with some flexibility for negotiating.
Minimum Qualifications
High school degree or G.E.D., and one (1) year of work experience involving face-to-face public contact and general office experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. Library experience and bilingual in English/Spanish or English/Russian preferred.
