RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serving as a member of the Plant Leadership Team to collaboratively set strategies, masterplan activities, employee engagement activities, loss elimination ideas, and results delivery.
- Developing the cultural vision for the plant that provides the foundation for the IWS journey.
- Continually expanding and enhancing knowledge levels of Integrated Work Systems
- Leading the plant leadership team in the integration of the appropriate actions to support the cultural vision and to support the delivery of the Compelling Business Need. Be the change agent within the plant leadership team that brings a focus to how results are delivered and sustained (IWS is the work ).
- Building capability of the site leaders to implement IWS systems, tools, methodologies, capabilities, and standards.
- Ensuring IWS tools and methodologies are used to drive all site result opportunities and to ensure all results are being sustained or improved per the site masterplan own how breakthrough performance is achieved.
- Responsible for the phased implementation of IWS at the plant & benchmarking with other plants in the division to drive best practices & standard work.
- Leading the Process Reliability process including maintaining measurement standards, coaching on improvement plans and strategies, training, coaching, and monthly reporting.
- Establishing and maintaining plant KPI s and visual plant tools.
TASKS
- Coach and lead the site leadership team through pillar ownership and develop understanding of the IWS strategy
- Manage, supervise and monitor the implementation of IWS pillars, liaising where appropriate with site teams, implementation reviews and audit success against expected IWS pillar delivery
- Implement the PDCA (Plan Do Check Act) cycle to activities and leadership at the plan
- Implement the IWS qualification process for your role and that of all pillar owners at the site and validate
- Implement the step-up cards and perform self-assessments for all pillar owners
- Develop operating OGSM (Objective, Goal, Strategy, Measure) for the site and ensure this is licked to the group OGSM and implement the CBN (Compelling Business Need)
- Develop the transition and development plan for the site with training needs developing the college and training book needs
- Update and manage the site phase score card and implement pillar health checks with all pillar owners
- Set up and manage weekly / monthly / quarterly drumbeat meeting for checking the IWS process / schedule and culture
- Arrange and manage 1:1 coaching sessions with all pillar owners
- Focus the leadership team on coaching on the shop floor and ensure the no meeting zone is adhered to
- Work with Human Resources and Learning and Development to ensure succession plans
- Instill a Continuous Improvement culture throughout the site utilizing IWS

- Prepare and deliver presentations and reports to a variety of stakeholders
- Ability to teach, coach, & develop others both on the plant floor & on the plant leadership team
- Long term planning (strategic) with intermediate actions along the way (tactical)
- Process-driven, loss-focused, results-oriented approach
- Problem solving skill-set (by degree engineering or by experience)
- Proven leadership skills
- Collaboration ability to partner with & influence others
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor s degree in engineering preferred from an accredited college or university.
- 5 or more years of relevant work experience.
- Experience of working within production environment
- IWS experience preferred (Minimum lean six sigma or similar lean system experience)
