Summary
Cirium’s datasets are under constant review, change and improvement. We require a Data Researcher for Maternity cover with broad aviation knowledge especially aircraft recognition and fleet dynamics. However, aviation knowledge is not a total requirement if the successful candidate has a good aptitude for learning or a track record of researching. The successful candidate will have a keen attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively as well as in isolation to achieve a range of data tasks. These will range from document processing, ETL, quality checks, connecting disparate data points to one another and combining the data we receive with our existing datasets, to provide the best in class data for our clients. An ability to see the bigger picture of our data and how our clients use our data is important, so being comfortable with working towards commercial objectives as well as personal ones is an important aspect and training will be provided to aid this. The successful candidate will work day to day in a small team researching and curating event histories of individual aircraft, tracking their identities, operation and usage amongst many other data points and tasks.
With the world’s current situation during the COVID-19 Pandemic, we offer the flexibility to work from home and from our Heathrow office. Both are encouraged and while in training you’ll have a mix of both with all required IT equipment provided. Our offices have strict capacity levels, booking systems, cleaning regimes and guidance on sanitising hands and face masks throughout to ensure safety.
