Manager – Customer Demand and Production Planning in Oleśnica, Poland

Key Responsibilities

Demand forecast and management

Owner of the customer demand management process and all development activities related to it. Main area of focus being customer communication, contract/service level agreement and demand variation management

Responsible for the development and control of related KPIs across Driveline sites (e.g. demand variability, delivery schedule adherence).

End to End SIOP process

Owner of the end-to-end SIOP process and its development. Focusing on both the supply chain aspects as well as all of the cross functional related activities to make sure overall business goals are achieved

Key stakeholder management to ensure a complete business alignment is achieved on input and output of the process

Deliver critical business recommendations (eg production allocation) to meet business targets based on simulations of different scenarios

Develop a fully integrated customer and supplier capacity/requirements process that will ensure capacity vs demand through the entire supply chain

Lead the development and monitoring of SIOP related KPIs to drive and achieve business expectations

Production schedule (MPS & Execution)

Lead the development of processes, procedures and metrics to ensure that the production planning is maintained and aligned through the different process steps from SIOP to MPS and execution

Key contact within the development team for IBP (integrated business planning)

Lead the development, deployment and in future usage of the IBP toll as expert of the production planning process (“super user”)

Key functional owner for SAP implementation (process customer demand and production planning)

Define process requirements, lead the development, deployment and in future usage of SAP as the go to person for all SAP problem solving related to production planning process (“super user”).

WIP and FG Inventory Management and minimum inventory requirements

Responsible for the definition and implementation of a standard, global inventory strategy across GKN Driveline (for WIP and finished good). This will be based on the definition and delivery of the minimum sustainable inventory.

Other

Ad hoc plant/region support based on business requirements (eg “crisis” management) as key expert/owner of the planning process.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

Background in production planning preferably gained through a complex plant operation experience (forging + machining+ assembly) with good understanding of production planning dynamics and requirements (intervals, OEE)

Previous experience in SOP-SIOP with a proven track record of running but also developing the process preferably in a complex multi sites global environment

Good understanding of inventory management principles with track record of successfully delivering inventory reduction

Previous experience with SAP environment is mandatory

Willing to travel up to 40% of the time

Ability to formulate plan, prioritize and direct and maintain long and short terms goals

Advanced excel

People management skills beneficial. currently this role does not include the management of any direct reports. This could change in the future based on the deployment of the integrated business planning tool
