About the role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Regional Accounting Manager to oversee the accounting and reporting functions for Anicura CEE Region legal entities (Poland, Austria, Switzerland, Czech Republic and Slovakia). This role involves leading a dedicated team as well as cooperation with external accounting offices, ensuring accurate and timely financial (internal and external) reporting, and providing accounting support across various company functions. This role requires a hands-on approach and ability to manage local team as cooperate with the external accounting providers.

  • Languages: Proficiency in English and Polish (German language is a plus).

  • Contract: Full Time

  • Travelling need: 5%

    Your key responsibilities will include:

    Manage SSC Team

  • Responsible for managing and development of Anicura CEE Accounting team (5 FTEs).

  • Lead an effective cooperation with the external accounting providers in PL, CZ and SK.

    Reporting and internal controls

  • Managing the period closing accounting activities for CEE region.

  • Lead/oversee periodic reconciliations of Balance Sheet accounts in CEE region.

  • Review of profit and loss accounts in cooperation with Business Controllers.

  • Close cooperation with Anicura Group Accounting Team in reporting process.

  • Supporting CEE Controlling Team in the process of business results follow up/ explanations.

  • Overall responsibility (in cooperation with external advisor/audit companies and Finance Market Head) for CEE region statutory financial reporting.

  • First contact for external stakeholders eg: accounting providers, audit, tax authorities, statistic office etc.

  • Responsible for performance and documentation of internal controls related tasks for CEE region markets (in cooperation with Anicura Group Depts).

    Other tasks

  • Any day-to-day or ad-hoc responsibilities or other accounting tasks within Finance/Accounting Department.

  • Participation in improvements projects and other projects (also driven by Anicura Group).

  • Back-up for various daily tasks of Accounting Team Members (AP, AR, BS reconciliation, Cash Management, period closing etc.)

    You are expected to have:

  • Academic degree in Accounting or Finance. Professional certificates (e.g. ACCA) will be as an advantage.

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience on the accounting managerial positions (preferred in an international multi-branch organizations).

  • Experience in team management (min: 5-10 FTEs) and cooperation with external accounting providers.

  • Thorough understanding of financial regulations, accounting principles, and reporting standards.

  • Experience working in an ERP system (Oracle is preferred).

  • Experience of preparing annual statutory reports.

  • Strong skills in MS Office, particularly MS Excel.
