Smart Device Link is a project which intends to standardize and wraps the many in-vehicle interfaces which may exist in the automotive context. The end goal is to provide an expandable software framework to mobile application developers and automotive head unit creators to create brought-in applications that appear integrated onto a head unit.

Responsibilities

– Analyzing, debugging code
– Estimating new tasks and expert evaluation
– Developing client/server applications
– Design and development of the HTML5 HMI
– Maintaining the stability of the HTML5 HMI

Must have

Experience required:
– LANGUAGES: JavaScript ES5+, HTML, CSS
– FRAMEWORKS/LIBRARIES: jQuery, React, NodeJS
– TOOLKIT: Git, Good UX/UI, Amazon AWS, Ubuntu
– TECHNOLOGIES: AJAX, REST API, asynchronous and Promise patterns, WebRTC
– DATABASES: SQLite
– PROTOCOLS: TCP/IP, HTTP/S, WebSocket
– TEMPLATING ENGINES: EJS, Handlebars
– Agile methodologies

Soft Skills
– Successful candidates must be positive team players who are committed to excellence
– Must be able to communicate effectively – in written and verbal format
– Must be willing to learn new skills, software, and general engineering knowledge
– Must be able to manage own schedule

Nice to have

– Working experience with Nginx, GStreamer
– Experience with Python3
– Knowledge of Ember.Js framework
– C and C++ in an object-orientated environment
– Familiarity with test engines: Jasmine, Mocha, Chai
