We are looking for seasoned strategy professionals to join our rapidly growing team in Ukraine at the Manager level. As part of EY Parthenon Strategy, you will have the opportunity to deliver projects that make a strong impact on the region and develop your career through a broad scope of engagements, mentoring and formal learning.
Your key responsibilities
As a Manager in the strategy consulting practice,you will be responsible for leading work streams and engagements as you translate client needs into project tasks and deliverables. You will work closely with clients to define the objective and scope of the engagements and deliverables in consultation with your seniors, and direct your team of consultants accordingly.
You can expect to spend most of your time working on strategy-related projects which include (but not limited to): long-term strategy roadmaps, growth strategy, market entry & expansion strategy, go-to-market strategy, business-wide digital transformation projects, commercial due diligence, and greenfield projects.
Your clients may include global corporates, governments and public entities, family conglomerates, and sovereign wealth funds, as well as local leaders in their respective segments, and up-and-coming new generation companies from both Ukraine and the region. TheEY-Parthenon Strategy team typically works directly with C-Suite executives on their strategic and transaction decisions.
Also, you will:

Contribute to business development by preparing client meetings and project proposals and by participating in client discussions

Lead client projects and engagement teams to deliver high quality outputs
-
Maintain relationships with client personnel at appropriate levels.
-
Demonstrate advanced knowledge of all phases and aspects of strategy development and implementation

Demonstrate ability to not only identify strategic opportunities, risks and issues, but also to recommend resolutions
-
Deliver a high degree of client satisfaction with the engagement process and work products sufficient to drive additional and repeated engagements
-
Successfully supervise, coach, and mentor all levels of staff
Skills and attributes for success
As a senior ranked strategy consulting professional, you should be able to:
-
Develop business strategies using tools such as market analysis, customer research, macroeconomic forecasting, portfolio optimization and operational modeling.
-
Collect, analyse, and translate large amounts of qualitative and quantitative data into realistic plans, goals, and actionables.
-
Review transaction rationale and/or deal documents to identify critical business issues and risks relating to a proposed transaction.
-
Identify the multitude of “endgame” scenarios for long-term client development, and reverse-engineer those to evaluate the tools and resources necessary to achieve the optimal long-term objectives
-
Understand and be able to recommend how digital transformation may affect the client’s strategic development
-
Do non-linear analysis of the client’s needs, understand their visions and motivational drivers, proactively create and amend scope of services to be agreed with the client based on the above, understand how other service lines work and how their capabilities can be tapped to address the clients’ needs and ensure maximum value for the client.
To qualify for the role you must have:
-
At minimum, a bachelors degree from a top ranking school with outstanding academic performance
-
Professional services and/or consulting engagement delivery experience with at least 5 years of related work experience
-
Experience with managing complex business projects, working with multi-disciplinary teams
-
Strong people and leadership skills
-
Strong analytical and financial modelling skills
-
Excellent knowledge of English, Ukrainian and Russian
-
Effective organization and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and adhere to project deadlines.
Ideally, you’ll also have:
-
Masters from a top tier business school, MBA degree will be considered as a strong asset
-
Prior experience in a (strategy) advisory company and/or in a corporate strategy department
-
Strong selling and business development skills and corresponding business relationships network
-
Excellent problem solving, facilitation and interpersonal skills.

Excellent communication skills and within a virtual working environment.
-
Ability to manage complex business projects independently, providing deliverables “turnkey” and managing all necessary project administration duties.

Ability and readiness to mentor and coach junior team members both in and out of project scope on a daily basis.
