Job Description
Tikva Housing Society is a charitable non-profit housing society that operates 98 units of affordable rental housing in Vancouver and Richmond as well as a rent subsidy program that provides temporary financial assistance to people renting in the private market. Tikva’s housing portfolio is growing, and we are looking to expand our staff team.
The Tenant Relations Coordinator (TRC) will support Tikva’s administration and property management team in relationships with tenants and rent subsidy recipients.
The TRC will manage the delivery of the Tikva Housing Rent Subsidy Program and ensure that expenses are aligned with revenues for the program. He or she will determine eligibility for the program, prepare and administer agreements, and report on demand and use of the program.
This position will also support the team in finding suitable tenants for Tikva’s rental housing portfolio and acting as liaison between tenants and the property management functions. The TRC will build and maintain positive relationships with tenants and foster a sense of community in each of Tikva’s housing developments.

QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of poverty and experience working directly with people on a limited income and familiarity with the Residential Tenancy Act. They will have excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills and be able to work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a team. Russian language is an asset.
COMPENSATION: This is a full-time position, 35 hours per week. Salary range between $20 and $25 per hour, commensurate with experience.
