Position Overview*
Piano is seeking a Technical Consultant who is responsible for the successful technical implementation of our software for new clients and serve as the escalation engineer for Level II technical support. We are looking for someone with 2 years or more of technical consultancy experience to join our Client Technology team and help support our clients. The primary focus of this position is to ensure our customers have a successful and delightful onboarding and implementation experience. As the product expert, you will meet with the key stakeholders and gather all of the necessary details to help design a solution and guide the customer to a successful launch. You will be focused on delivering on the technical needs of the client, setting them up for long term success and growth.
The core responsibilities of the Technical Consultant are:
- Be an active contributor and member of client account teams, including Account Managers and Project Managers
- Work hands on with Piano customers, primarily in a post-sales role, to provide innovative technology consulting services
- Gather, analyze, and document solution requirements
- Communicate technical project expectations to key technical stakeholders at the appropriate levels
- Mentor and train customers on Piano’s suite of products
- Triage issues that arise during implementation
- Lead interaction and collaboration with internal Piano teams to coordinate support and escalate customer issues
- Act as a liaison to the Product Management team to drive product growth and development
- Participate in multiple concurrent implementation projects
- Simplify complex technical topics during presentations
- Be an active contributor to the knowledge repository to further develop best practices and standard deployment methodologies
We are looking for candidates to meet the following requirements:
- 2+ years experience as a technical consultant delivering solutions to external customers
- Experience implementing solutions in a SaaS environment
- Experience implementing custom design solutions
- Strong development skills (JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Python)
- Knowledge or experience with AngularJS
- Working knowledge of SQL
- Experience integrating platforms using third-party APIs
- Complex problem-solving experience
- Preference given to candidates with experience in any of the following areas marketing technology, payment providers, identity management, DMP/CDP
- Excellent communication (written and spoken) skills, able to translate technical guidance to various client audience members and technical skill set; a good listener
- Strong collaborator; ability to work closely with account team members
- Fluent English – written and spoken
