HR Business Partner & Project Manager

Work Location: Poland (Gdańsk)

KEY PURPOSE:

We are over 2000 employees in Poland and growing. For our local Poland HR Management Team, we are opening a new hybrid role for a passionate HR professional who will combine HR Business Partnering with HR Project Management responsibilities.

This strategic and operational role involves managing HR initiatives and projects while serving as a trusted partner to business leaders. The incumbent will support and implement HR activities across Talent Management, Employee Experience, Engagement, and Organizational Development, while also driving project-based improvements and corporate HR initiatives.

Reporting to the local Senior HR Manager, and working closely with the HR Director, Corporate HR functions, and local HR colleagues, this role blends deep HR process knowledge with project management discipline. The successful candidate will be a proactive contributor to HR strategy, with strong stakeholder management, creativity, and analytical skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

HR Project Management

  • Own and manage HR projects aligned with business and people needs
  • Propose and implement new HR initiatives in areas such as Employee Experience, Talent Development, Employer Branding, Diversity & Inclusion
  • Drive implementation of corporate HR projects locally
  • Develop and manage HR project plans, ensuring milestones are met on time and within budget
  • Track and report project progress, escalate risks, and ensure stakeholder alignment
  • Lead change management and communication strategies for HR initiatives
  • Review and adjust local HR processes to align with best practices and business needs
  • Present and communicate key people data and metrics to HR and business stakeholders

HR Business Partnering

  • Act as a point of contact for employees and managers in dedicated business units
  • Partner with business leaders to understand needs and proactively support engagement, retention, and development
  • Guide and coach managers on employee relations and HR issues in line with company policies and best practices
  • Execute and advise on HR topics, policies, labour conditions, and local legislation
  • Support HR administration including contracts, promotions, exits, onboarding, and benefits
  • Liaise with external vendors for HR services and benefits
  • Collaborate with HR Shared Services Poland on daily processes
  • Lead or facilitate communication forums such as HR Connects, Town Halls, Launch Pads, and skip-level meetings
  • Support continuous improvement of HR policies and maintain HR documentation on Cognizant platforms

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • 4–5 years of relevant HR experience in a generalist or business partnering role
  • Experience or strong interest in HR project management and strategic HR initiatives
  • Medium-level practical knowledge of Polish labour law and local HR practices
  • Strong understanding of HR processes, policies, and talent management
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills in Polish and English
  • Good knowledge of MS Office and HR tools
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field is an asset
  • Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of responsibilities
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Creativity, flexibility, and willingness to embrace change
  • Ability to work effectively with confidential information and diverse teams
  • Readiness to travel occasionally for business needs
