Location: Warsaw

Work Model: Remote (with visits once a month in Warsaw office and planning 2-3 days per quarter)

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Ruby Engineer to join our team, responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust Ruby and Ruby on Rails applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, web services, and database management, with a passion for clean code and scalable systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Ruby/Rails applications, ensuring high code quality and performance.
• Participate in code reviews, architectural decisions, and technical discussions.
• Build and maintain web services, background jobs, and async systems
• Design and optimize SQL/NoSQL databases and migrations
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests using RSpec and other frameworks.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate and debug JavaScript in Rails.
• Deploy and manage applications in Kubernetes clusters, using best practices for container health and monitoring.

Requirements

• Proven experience with Ruby and Ruby on Rails in production environments.
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles, CI/CD, and highly available systems.
• Experience with HTTP/web servers, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Solid knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases, indexing, and data integrity.
• Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in financial services (banking, payments)
• Comfortable in fast-paced, evolving environments
