About This Role

Reporting to the Payments & Settlements Team Leader, this role works as part of a global team who manage money in and money out for customers (consumer & businesses) in the fastest and more efficient way possible. This is achieved through a range of global banking partnerships and global payment networks. We strive for excellence in delivering the best service for our customers.

This role is responsible for settling foreign exchange contracts on behalf of corporate or consumer clients ensuring all transactions are settled and paid to agreed timescales, banking cut-off and company SLA’s.

What You Will Do

  • Organise contract settlement for the current value date
  • Manage money in and money out of global bank accounts; process and authorise receipts and debit requests
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders, both, logically and globally (APAC, NAM, UK), namely Service Delivery, Compliance and Global Operations Team on a wide range of queries, including anti-money laundering (AML) and sanctions queries and FX contract queries.
  • Work directly with clients via phone and email to resolve escalated account and payment queries
  • Investigate and resolve and settlement/account errors, internally and with global banking partners
  • Monitor workflow queues to ensure transactions are dealt with in a timely and efficient manner, to meet cut off times and SLA’s.

Position Requirements

  • Knowledge of global settlement rails and systems, including SWIFT, ACH, EFT, DEBIT/CREDIT CARD preferred but not essential
  • Relevant experience in a financial services or FX organisation, undertaking payment tasks and understanding of cash flows
  • Strong time management skills, able to plan, organise and multi-task
  • Strong attention to detail and numeracy skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Approachable, collaborative team member.
  • Adaptable, eager to learn, proactive.
