We have an immediate opportunity for a Russian Linguist/Translator/Collector to join our intelligence team.This position will be based at our customer site in Suitland, MD.
Description:
As a Russian Linguist/Translator/Collector, you will be part of a team of professionals working on matters in support of U.S. Navy and U.S. European Command requirements; these matters are of immense importance to the security of the United States. Specific responsibilities will include:
Provide specialized linguistic support to satisfy sensitive collection and translation of high priority materials
Provide analysis of both open source and highly classified data using advanced analytic tools and tradecraft
Supporting the development of new collection capabilities and analytical projects
Attending and facilitating meetings (including classified), preparing agendas, tracking action items, and distributing minutes
Qualifications:
Minimum Language Proficiency of 2/2 DLPT (or ILR equivalent) in Russian certified within the last 3 years is required
Documented experience in translating Russian to English
Two years-experience in Russian Open Source research
Three years-experience writing at the college/university level, with advanced proficiency in SharePoint, Microsoft Office tools (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
Must have demonstrated experience and knowledge of military terminology
Must have a minimum of four years of Military/Intelligence Community experience
Demonstrated proficiency in effective communications (writing, speaking, briefing)
HIGHLY DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS (NOT REQUIRED):
Language Proficiency of 3/3 DLPT (or ILR equivalent) in Russian
Knowledge or experience in HUMINT
Security Clearance:
This position requires U.S. citizenship and an active TS/SCI security clearance.
