Seasonal Sugar Sampler

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for regular visits to our contracted grower vineyards in Sonoma County, assisting with grape maturity sampling, along with occasional vineyard observations. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter with a strong work ethic and good communication skills. This is a great job for anyone hoping to get experience with many ultra premium vineyards throughout Sonoma County’s Russian River Valley and Coastal regions. The multi-faceted nature of this position will allow the employee many learning opportunities over the course of harvest.

The estimated time frame for this position is August 1st through October 15th.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Sample grapes for maturity
• Prepare grape samples at winery
• Gather vineyard information on grower blocks as needed

• Understand vineyard maps
• Special projects as assigned by Manager
• Lend support to other TDP vineyard teams if needed

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Some Viticulture, Enology or related experience a plus
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Must be willing to work flexible schedule with some extended hours
• Can-do attitude
• Valid driver’s license with clean record
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs.
• Must be able to work outside in varied weather conditions for extended periods of time
