Game Night Staff – Rangers PR (Translator)

Overview: Madison Square Garden Sports Corp. (MSG Sports) is a leading professional sports company, with a collection of assets that includes: the New York Knicks (NBA) and the New York Rangers (NHL); two development league teams – the Westchester Knicks (NBAGL) and the Hartford Wolf Pack (AHL); and esports teams through Counter Logic Gaming, a leading North American esports organization, and Knicks Gaming, an NBA 2K League franchise. MSG Sports also operates two professional sports team performance centers – the MSG Training Center in Greenburgh, NY and the CLG Performance Center in Los Angeles, CA. Role Summary: Support Rangers PR staff with game night operations at all 44 preseason and regular season home games at Madison Square Garden (and playoffs when applicable). This person will also help serve as a translator for our Russian born players and must be fluent in speaking the language. Specific Functions/Activities Summary:

Assist with any potential needs of on-site media covering games

Handle media check-in and distribution of game credentials at media will call

Help deliver pre-game notes, stats and post-game materials to media and broadcast crews in arena

Record audio of post-game media availabilities (Rangers and visiting locker room, head coach press conferences etc.) to compile and distribute to media

Other related duties as assigned.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB:
Ability to work nights and weekends, according to the Rangers home schedule

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or student attending college with expected bachelor’s degree

Fluent in reading and speaking Russian

Strong interest in public relations

Ability to work nights and weekends, according to the Rangers home schedule

Knowledge of the Rangers organization, the NHL and the NY sports media

Team player that can work effectively in a group setting under pressure
