Head of Product Development Unit (Big Data)

Within the digital transformation strategy, Kyivstar prioritizes development of its data management platform (DMP) based on Big Data technologies, on-premise Hadoop ecosystem and Cloud computing platforms. Built with open source technologies, the systems handles billions of records daily, processing and storing petabytes of data. DMP platform delivers value for internal Kyivstar use as well as for external business clients and utilizes on the edge big data, complex event processing and machine-learning technologies.

So, we are looking for a leader of engineering team – Head of Engineering (Big Data Solutions) to join our team.

• 5+ years of team management experience in IT/R&D;

• 3+ years of experience in development and expertise in the following programming languages (Python, Java, Scala, etc.), Hadoop clusters, various SQL and non-SQL databases;

• 2+ years of experience (will be advantage) in creating systems based on cloud technologies MS Azure, AWS, GCP;

• Experience in date analytical areas;

• Perfect theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of BIG data processing technologies;

• Advanced knowledge in the field of analytics and analytical distributed systems.

• Leading the team and building optimal SDLC for the products;

• Development of internal expertise;

• Development of solutions for DMP using on-premise Open Source and cloud technologies;

• Development and execution of DMP platform strategy.
