We’re looking for a Risk Intelligence Analyst to join our team! Risk Intelligence Analysts at FiveBy play an integral role in supporting trade compliance for our client through research and analytical support for due diligence and sanctions activities. This role requires a curious, resourceful self-starter who is comfortable navigating ambiguity. The successful candidate must have a high level of knowledge regarding global and sanctions policy and regional risk, be detail-oriented, and be able to work autonomously and cross-functionally with a high level of professionalism.
This is a remote role – candidates may be located anywhere in the United States but must be available to work core hours in the Pacific Time Zone.
Responsibilities Include
Review and analyze potential sanctions hits while maintaining compliance requirements
Use problem-solving and analytical skills to authenticate customers
Make decisions in a timely manner with incomplete or ambiguous information
Maintain the confidentiality of all information obtained during the research process
Maintain and update databases
Assist with drafting and updating documentation
Monitor global sanctions and economic news
Utilize open-source research tools
Willingness to work hours outside of the standard work day as needed
Perform quality control with case management
Ensure SLAs are met on all relevant workstreams and assigned cases
Lead and own ad hoc projects as needed
Required Skills and Experience
Advanced/Fluent English & Russian language proficiency
Undergraduate or graduate degree, preferably in a research/analytics field pertaining to social or political sciences
Prior professional experience conducting research/analytics on global or sanctions policy and/or risk intelligence
Able to demonstrate high degree of professionalism
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Able to work autonomously and produce high-quality work with minimal direction in a fast-paced environment
Able to work within a team, and communicate cross-functionally
Preferred/Optional Qualifications
Additional certifications: ACAMS (CGSS), ACFCS, IAPP
