The Muhlenberg College Department of Languages, Literatures & Cultures invites applications for the position of part-time lecturer position in Russian Studies, beginning fall 2021. Native/near native fluency required, with a Ph.D. in Russian, Second Language Acquisition, or related field preferred. At a time of transition, we seek a dynamic colleague to continue our strong tradition of Russian language and literature, to take an active role in the life of our department, including a variety of cultural activities, and with the vision for a broader program in Russian Studies. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the potential to coordinate with and build upon other aspects of a comprehensive program in Russian Studies, including literature, film, and drama in both Russian and in translation, and/or modern Russian history and culture. The part-time teaching load is two courses per semester. The candidate should demonstrate experience with multi-media textbook platforms, interest in language acquisition pedagogy, and a strong commitment to teaching excellence.
