Prospecting Specialist

The Opportunity
This is a great opportunity for a candidate with 1-3 years of work experience, and who is very passionate about video games, and wishes to use their knowledge and passion to immerse themselves into the business of video games. The Prospecting Specialist is responsible for researching prospective customers (game developers, studios and publishers), cold- calling/emailing, and setting up meetings with our prospective customers, while determining if they are interested in creating a new revenue stream for their console or PC games. The position reports to the SVP Business Development.
Primary Responsibilities
- Research game developer/studio contacts and develop creative techniques to get in touch with them
- Diligently nurture and qualify game developer leads from various channels
- Prospect new and inactive game developers that are not engaged with PlayerWON
- Collaborate with PlayerWON leadership and marketing team on a customer segmentation and lead generation strategy that works in in conjunction with your prospecting efforts
- Be able to quantify and qualify sales opportunities to prioritize resources spent on acquisition
- Meet weekly, monthly and quarterly quotas for outreach
What we look for…
- You are a gamer and have an expansive knowledge of video games, past and present
- 1-3 years of work experience in a business development capacity
- Ability to learn new things quickly, maintain a high bar for quality and be pragmatic
- Passionate about the written and spoken word; you take pride in a well written email
- Desire to take a high-level of ownership of the things you work on
- Extremely diligent and detail oriented
- Undergraduate degree
- Work experience in the gaming industry and/or basic speaking level of German, Spanish, Russian, Korean or Japanese, in addition to fluent English, is a huge plus
