Sustainable Rural Development International is a UK based non-profit social enterprise. It operates the Black Sea Sustainable Rural Tourism Program (BSST) and is expanding the Program to Ukraine. The BSST Program partners with rural communities which seek to develop sustainable tourism and improve livelihoods, protect the environment and preserve culture. Single communities or groups of two of more towns or villages within a 20km radius can become partners after fulfilling strict requirements and a review by the BSST team. The working language of the Program is English.

Applications are welcome from communities that can satisfy the following:

• You must have a organization or association that includes community stakeholders such as local NGOs, local government, small businesses and general public representatives;
• One contact person with English language proficiency;
• Knowledge of sustainable tourism and eco-tourism;
• Knowledge of how to prepare a strategic plan to develop sustainable tourism in your community;
• An inventory or tourism attractions, activities, events and festivals
Applications, in English, will be accepted on a rolling basis until October 15, 2020.
