The COVID Response Project Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of the agency’s pandemic response program, including the administration of multiple evolving grants and initiatives focused on culturally- and linguistically-appropriate COVID-19 response and vaccine engagement. The Project Coordinator will work under the direction of and in collaboration with the Director of Public Health Practice, Policy, and Advocacy to support the agency’s mission to eliminate health disparities through evidence-based, culturally-responsive health promotion programming. In addition to grants administration, the Project Coordinator will provide COVID-related data surveillance, needs assessment, and reporting to inform agency-wide and community-level intervention approaches. The Project Coordinator will supervise Community Health Workers and/or other program support staff, design and implement health education strategies to target priority populations disproportionately affected by COVID-19, and collaboratively manage vaccine and testing clinics.

Note: This position is grant-funded; this is a 1- to 2-year opportunity with possibility of renewal depending on performance and departmental needs.
Minimum Requirements:
Master’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Public Health, Epidemiology, Public Administration, Health Services, or related field.
Oral and written fluency in English (fluency in another language a plus, such as Spanish, Arabic, Russian, Vietnamese, or Nepali).
Experience in administration and management grants or grant-funded programs, including reporting, budget management, and workplan development.
Prior experience in infection control, emergency preparedness, and/or vaccine promotion.
Strong theoretical understanding of principles of health equity, social determinants of health, community development, and social justice.
Experience designing and implementing marketing and communications campaigns, materials, outreach strategies, and event management.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong professional communication and correspondence skills.
Complete proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Google Workspace (Email, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Slides) applications.
Strong analytical skills required to identify and address inefficiencies (knowledge of quality improvement [QI] and change management principles and methods a plus).
Experience managing data (experience with Electronic Medical Record systems a plus).
Ability to develop presentations, deliver presentations, and facilitate meetings with internal teams, stakeholders, and grant funders.
Experience conducting literature reviews, developing conference posters, and summarizing/presenting scientific data.
Superior attention to detail and organizational abilities; ability to validate own work as well as team members’ work.

Principle Responsibilities and Duties:
Coordinate a variety of evolving grant-funded projects focused on culturally and linguistically appropriate COVID-19 response and vaccine promotion. Grants administration responsibilities will include development and monitoring of workplans for multiple grants; successful execution of rigorous grant objectives and deliverables; budget/fiscal management; data collection and reporting; and funder communications/relations.
Exercise a high level of organization and attention to detail to independently ensure timely tracking, compliance, and submission of all grant deliverables.
Maintain positive relationships and responsiveness to numerous grant project officers and technical assistance providers, and ensure successful completion of all required meetings, communications, and benchmarks.
Report regularly to Chief Research & Population Health Officer, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Operations Officer, and other members of the Executive Committee on project outcomes.
Provide COVID-related data surveillance, needs assessment, and reporting to inform agency-wide and community-level intervention approaches.
Provide direct supervision of support staff, such as Community Health Workers (CHWs), assigned to COVID-related projects. Supervision will include schedule coordination, conflict resolution, training coordination, technical assistance, and validation/monitoring of work products. Collaborate with other cross-departmental managers responsible for supervision of Community Health Workers to ensure cohesive management of agency’s CHW workforce.
Develop and implement strategies to accelerate COVID testing and vaccination in high-risk areas, particularly among health center patients and community members who have significant social and medical vulnerabilities, those living in congregate housing, people experiencing homelessness, those with substance use disorders, low-wage essential workers, and people with limited English proficiency. Implement strategies to facilitate identification and elimination of barriers to testing and vaccination (e.g., transportation, childcare, language, cultural health beliefs), including GIS mapping of COVID case data, community needs assessment, no-contact delivery programming, mobile clinic programming, etc.
Design and implement communication strategies, culturally and linguistic appropriate educational materials, and community outreach engagements to support COVID testing and vaccination activities.
Develop and foster partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to support COVID testing and vaccination activities; provide expert leadership across public outreach events, educational town halls, task forces, and community advisory boards.
Collaborate with COVID Response Clinical Director on practice management for COVID vaccination and testing sites (including mobile, satellite, and onsite clinics) including scheduling, staffing, site operations, inventory management (e.g., vaccines, PPE) and practice communications.
Collaborate with Quality teams to operationalize a robust telemedicine program to increase access to COVID testing and vaccination.
Collaborate with leaders of agency’s ongoing Infection Control program on the development and implementation of policies and procedures, including the Chief Medical Officer, Chief Research and Population Health Officer, Chief Operations Officer, Director of Medical Operations, Director of Front Operations, Infection Control Nurse Manager, and COVID Response Clinical Director.
