PSE’s Gas Operations team is looking for qualified candidates to fill an open Damage Prevention Rep position!
Job Description
Three times a day—or about 1,000 times a year—excavators put their lives at risk by digging into a PSE natural gas pipeline or underground electric cable. PSE is looking for people who care enough about preventing these accidents that they will use every means of persuasion, including facing down a contractor, to get him to dig more safely.
As our damage prevention field rep, you’ll drive from job site to job site to engage excavators about how they are digging. Over time, you’ll develop relationships with the contractors in your area, educating them about best practices and Washington’s dig law. You’ll help them make better use of the resources available to accurately locate underground facilities, give them “atta-boys” when they dig safely, and call them out when they don’t.
This position works closely with PSE’s electric and gas first response teams and the technicians who locate underground lines. It reports to PSE’s damage prevention supervisor in the Public Safety Department.

Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record
