Overview
Work within this job family falls into three major categories: (1) enhancements- changes to original design and extensions to existing programs. (2) new interaction and interface designs (3) strategic interaction and interface design – new or improved UX design language, user interface style guides, design archetypes, reusable design assets, etc.
Skills/Experience Required (Must meet all 5 requirements, without proof please do not apply):
Multi-lingual – English, plus one of the following: Romanian, Russian, Bulgarian, Ukrainian, Hindi. This is a must, since Kare Partners has been using eastern Europe and India for outsourcing development projects.
Experience with design and management of Production IOS and Web Applications – Critical that the applications are in production and being used by “customers generating revenue and commerce.”
Coordinating application development as the lead designer between business, technical architects and a distributed development team on 3 continents.
Culturally adept at coordinating with distributed teams across multiple cultures
Widely traveled in Europe and the US.
Responsibilities:
Must have excellent understanding of the healthcare systems in US, Europe and India (Mixed, Government Driven and Free Market).
Must be aware of cash-based healthcare transactions and insurance driven markets.
Must be able to bring the user requirements for the business model to the application development process – both android native, IOS, and web based.
Responsible for researching, creating and developing concepts and specifications that optimize the structure and behavior of screen- based, software solutions for the mutual benefit of both user and business.
Leads multiple project teams of designers and internal and outsourced partners responsible for all stages of interactive and interface design and development for a portfolio of complex products and platforms, including design architecture, language, validation, and specifications.
Create visual concepts and designs to communicate ideas for corporate communications such as advertising, brochures, images, corporate reports, websites, C-level presentations, logos and brand identity media.
Reviews and evaluates designs and project activities for compliance with interactive and interface design and development guidelines and standards; provides tangible feedback to improve product quality and interactive and interface design.
Provides domain-specific expertise and overall interactive and interface design leadership and perspective to cross- organization projects, programs, and activities.
Drives innovation and integration of new technologies and design language into projects and activities in the interactive and interface design organization.
Provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members.
Work with product management and technical teams to create graphical representations of business processes to be enabled thru websites and mobile devices.
Collaborate with product management, C-Level executives and developers on prototyping using graphical representations of new solutions.
Develop an understanding of business requirements and our business data, and design visual user interaction and reporting interfaces that present our data in an attractive, organized and meaningful way.
Create data visualizations that complement the data contained within our product.
Develop graphical user flows, wireframes, hi-resolution art files, and interactive prototypes.
Incorporate both text and graphics in combinations that make complex ideas understandable.
Work independently on a number of projects simultaneously.
Collaborate with a number of different teams, ranging from Product Management, Marketing, Professional Services and Sales, and high level executives.
Travel requirements:
20% U.S. and 10% international travel to discuss graphic design requirements and present vision, concepts and designs with company management and clients.
Requirements:
Must have relevant experience. Production experience trumps education. 1 Production app is worth 5 – 7 years of experience.
Must possess an Associate’s degree in Design, Graphic Design or Visual Communications or related or equivalent
The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of graphic design experience using the Adobe package (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects, Edge Animate, Muse), Corel Draw, prototyping tools, and 3d software.
The ideal candidate should have 2 years of graphical user design developing and evaluating potential and proposed designs for usability, ease of understanding, user acceptance and adoption in mobile (phone and tablet) environment and desktop applications (including creating wireframes, prototypes and final design user interfaces); testing computer system applications for compliance with design look, feel and functionality; developing designs from concept to implementation for corporate communications and branding; designing user interfaces for preferably healthcare applications.
Must have designed at least two (2) different computer systems graphic designs and user interfaces.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
Working Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
