The Department of Consumer and Business Services (DCBS) is a progressive business regulatory state agency dedicated to the mission of protecting and serving Oregon’s consumers and workers while supporting a positive business climate. The department administers state laws and rules governing workers’ compensation, occupational safety and health, financial institutions, insurance companies and building codes. The department has consumer protection and education programs, offices, and ombudsmen to help consumers, injured workers, and businesses.
This position is with the Oregon Occupational Safety and Health Division (Oregon OSHA). Oregon OSHA is responsible for assuring safe and healthful working conditions for Oregon workers through promulgation and enforcement of Occupational Safety and Health Regulations, and by providing education and consultation to employees and employers.
This position is represented by the Service Employees International Union (SEIU).

Here’s what you will do:
As a Field Office Coordinator, you will provide administrative support to the OSHA Tigard field office and ensure workflow processes meet compliance standards as outlined in the Oregon Safe Employment Act.

Here’s what you need to qualify:
The State of Oregon is requiring all executive branch employees to complete their COVID-19 vaccination series by October 18, 2021, unless the employee receives a medical or religious exception. Minimum Qualifications :
Three years of clerical/secretarial experience that included:
Two years at a full performance level performing typing, word processing, or other generation of documents
OR
Lead work responsibility or coordination of office procedures.
Courses or training in Office Occupations or Office Technology may be substituted for up to one year of the clerical/secretarial experience. No substitution will be made for the two years at the full performance level.
Requested Skills :
Strong and diplomatic verbal and written communication skills
Skilled in de-escalation and interviewing techniques
Expert proficiency in spelling, grammar, and punctuation with a focus on accuracy
Strong comprehension of IT systems and software with an ability to provide minor technical support
Demonstrated experience operating computer programs and proficiency in word processing and data entry
Proficiency with standard office equipment: calculator, postage meter, copy machine, fax machine, LaserJet printers
Preference may be given to applicants who posses a current Oregon notary public certification
Preference may be given to applicants who have bilingual skills in Spanish, Russian, or Cambodian
