Position Title:
Human Services Specialist 1 – VEC Operations Support Specialist – Bilingual Required. English/Russian.
Job Description:
This position is bilingual and requires duties to be done in both English and Russian. Job offer will be contingent upon passing test(s) evaluating your proficiency in the bilingual requirements of the position. This position may receive a 5% differential pay based on passing the required language test.
The work shift for this position is 9:30am to 6:30pm., Monday thru Friday.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
You will work with Oregonians to support the online Oregon Eligibility system, for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF), and Employment Related Day Care (ERDC) and Medicaid, by phone to resolve any questions or concerns.
You will have contact by phone and/or email with participants, advocates, providers, coordinated care plans, outreach facilities, medical professionals, and agency staff.
You will assist individuals with their online applicant portal eligibility account by resetting their passwords, unlocking accounts, providing the username (ONE), setting up new accounts or disabling/deleting existing accounts, troubleshooting known errors or basic support questions.
You will work with individuals to identify new errors and escalate issues to ONE Triage teams, capturing screenshots and ensuring the client is able complete the application process.
Most of the time is spent answering participant calls and conducting the necessary follow-up research or support.
Other duties as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Possible work shift for this position is 9:30am to 6:30pm., Monday thru Friday.
Occasional overtime may be required. Long periods of sitting for data entry and phone coverage.
Frequent phone contact with frustrated callers.
Fast paced office environment constructed of cubicles, with frequent interruptions and noise level is sometimes high.
Extensive use of computer.
Priorities and procedures may change daily and requires the ability to be flexible in application of procedures.

THIS IS WHAT YOU NEED TO QUALIFY
Two years of experience either interviewing to obtain personal or technical information or substantial people contact. This experience must have involved a high volume of paperwork (e.g., assuring information on forms is complete and accurate, completing necessary documents, etc.).
College-level courses may be substituted for the experience on a year-for-year basis.
The State of Oregon requires all executive branch employees to complete their COVID-19 vaccination series or have an approved exception to the requirement due to a medical condition or sincerely held religious belief.
