The Policy Analyst/Senior Policy Analyst for Foreign Interference will be part of a dynamic department that supports work across American Progress’ five cross-cutting priorities:
Strengthening public health and ending the pandemic

Restoring social trust and strengthening democracy
This is a term limited position that ends December 31, 2022, with the possibility to extend.
Responsibilities:
Conduct original quantitative and qualitative research and analysis related to foreign interference in democracies, with a primary focus on the United States and Europe as well as Russian influence efforts. This will include conducting literature reviews; drafting talking points, columns, papers, charts, and tables; occasional data-crunching; and proofreading, fact-checking, and editing documents.
Draft reports, issue briefs, and columns on foreign interference and related issues as needed.
Manage projects—including conferences, convenings, and events—and handle associated logistical planning and execution.
Develop innovative program and policy ideas.
Maintain and enhance expertise in assigned areas of responsibilities.
Develop and coordinate high-level meetings and public events.
Manage and oversee grant budgets and reports.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements and qualifications:
Minimum of a master’s degree in international development, international affairs, human rights, peace building, political science, or a related field.
At least four years of relevant work experience in national security, intelligence, Europe or Russia policy, or related fields.
Demonstrated ability to conduct original research and writing, such as a body of published work.
Knowledge and background in issues related to the problem of foreign interference, European policy, and Russian foreign policy is required.
Ability to work well within a team in a fast-paced environment and to manage grant deliverables.
Ability to multitask and work well under tight deadlines.
Nonprofit—both 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(4)—organization or think tank experience is a plus.

Both positions are part of a bargaining unit represented by IFPTE Local 70.
