What you’ll do

  • Develop strategies for all types of Dangerous Goods (including LLR) in line with Global Corporate Strategy
  • Design safety & DG compliance controls, best-in-class processes & systems, run continuous improvement actions, audits and follow-up; devise metrics and reporting tools/processes to drive excellence
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and permit requirements; mitigate all risks regarding DG compliance
  • Obtain and maintain all licenses, permits and dossiers for area of responsibility
  • Maintain subject matter expertise and industry knowledge to advise senior leadership and operational teams on emerging trends, regulatory requirements and on impact to business strategic roadmap.
  • Consult, train and instruct teams on radiation protection and DG management and procedures
  • Cover the role of Radiation Protection Expert: RPE and Radiation Protection Officer: RPO)
  • Drive regional or global management of all dangerous goods product information lists,
  • Liaise w. health & safety, sales and operations on DG matters/product launches, engage with external
  • clients where relevant
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with regulators and industry trade bodies.
  • Lead a team of operational DG trained staff, developing knowledge, FAQs

Your qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering/technology or related Master’s degree
  • Proven experience in designing a compliance framework (policies, RACIs, check-lists etc.)
  • Supply Chain background with 10+ years of experience in logistics, 5+ in dangerous goods management
  • Certificates related to dangerous goods management a plus
  • Proven leadership and change management skills
  • Focused on performance and operational excellence
  • A strong compliance mindset
  • Communicates strongly & instills pride; is a strong influencer
  • Can build high-performing teams without the need for hierarchical reporting
  • Self-driven, strong in self-learning and personal growth
