Inviting applications for the role of the Distribution Planner – Domain Trainee – English – Remote Romania

MAIN JOB PURPOSE:

The Primary Distribution Planning Coordinator responsible for planning and managing the primary transport of finished goods between Ice Cream sourcing units and primary distribution centers (including over flow locations) within the European network and leads a complex network of 11 Sourcing units and 27 warehouses, is the first point of contact for the Ice Cream Category, liaises with Ultralogistics and coordinates a large number of people.

Responsibilities

• Managing all primary transport requirements for IC finished goods movements
• Optimizing available sourcing unit slots, available warehouse slots and storage capacity across the European network
• Liaising with Ultralogistic to provide transportation forecast
• Update and manage all relevant aspects of transport management system and maintain logistics
• master data input for planning systems
• Gather and maintain data from all SU’s and DC’s loading, unloading and storage capacities to pre plan total network and manage bottlenecks accordingly
• Provide proposal to supply planning regarding network capacity and planned shipments optimization
• Ensuring that correct priority is given to transport of customer service
• Maintaining and develop appropriate KPIs
• Ensure close relationship with SUs transportation planners, Warehousing Managers and Ultralogistics

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications

• English language skills to communicate freely
• Previous experience in SAP / APO welcome
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (in particular Excel)
• Ability to work under time pressure and quickly set priorities

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in supply planning or logistics modelling
• Analytical thinking
