Job Description

Danfoss is looking for an experienced Supplier Development Engineer to join our team. You will be expected to excel in a fast pace, growing company and thrive in a culture of continuous improvement. You will need to have outstanding interpersonal communication skills to deal with suppliers, co-workers & customers.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Lead supplier development projects to drive key suppliers to targeted quality performance levels.

• Train supplier to achieve system level root cause and to implement long term corrective actions to eliminate reoccurrence of quality rejects

• Ensure supplier quality and performance data is available and accurate at all times for suppliers in their category.

• Communicate, implement and assure proper execution of the Supplier Quality Manual, Danfoss global standards, tools, and templates for each supplier and/or project in their category.

• Evaluate suppliers systems and train implementation of system level changes to meet Danfossrequirements and expectations

• Responsibility for Supplier Development and Reporting, Change control, SupplierAPQP/PPAP and Claimshandling

• Evaluate failures against the part specification and Danfoss requirements

• Control that containment, root cause, deviations or concession, corrective and preventive actions are implemented, verified and validated via 8D report

• Facilitate meetings and supplier visits as needed to align and resolve issues

• Implement CSL 1 and/or CSL 2 at suppliers as needed

• Ensure supplier identifies and implements long term corrective actions on occurrence, non-detection and systemic level

• Ensure PPAP documentation is updated (PFMEAs, Control plans, etc.)

• Be in charge of Audits and Supplier approvals

• Training & Development of suppliers

The ideal candidate possesses these skills:

• 5+ years’ experience in parts development, quality assurance of Electrical / Electronic products

• Component, PCB fabrication (Fake components)

• Knowledge of Standards (IPC, J-STD, ATEX)

• DFM/DFT (Valor, test ways, etc.)

• Production machines (AOI, SPI, Printers, ICT/FCT/FP, P+P, Reflow, Wave, Coating, depanelization)

• Environmental effects and Electrical Static Discharge (ESD)

• Schematic electrical blueprints

• Basic understanding of programing micros and software

• Electrical life testing (EMC, HALT, vibe, corrosion)

• Cable harness awareness/knowledge

• Cultural Awareness

• Cross Functional Awareness
