As WMS Development Lead EMEA, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating Warehouse Management System (WMS) development across the region, ensuring successful delivery of both strategic roadmap initiatives and customised project-specific solutions. You will balance the need for innovation, standardisation, and customer-driven enhancements while ensuring technical excellence, alignment with business objectives, and adherence to corporate standards.

You will oversee technical architecture governance and DevOps practices across both streams, ensuring all solutions are scalable, secure, and future-proof

How you create impact

• Define and execute the WMS development roadmap for EMEA, aligning with product strategy and long-term architecture goals.
• Oversee the design and delivery of customised WMS solutions, ensuring they are scalable, upgrade-safe, and aligned with KN standards.
• Govern technical architecture and solution integrity across both roadmap and project-specific developments.
• Lead the adoption of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment automation.
• Ensure all developments meet corporate standards for security, scalability, integration, and cloud-readiness.
• Manage internal and external development teams, ensuring delivery performance, quality, and cost control.
• Balance strategic standardisation with tactical customisation to avoid system fragmentation and ensure long-term maintainability.
• Provide structured reporting, risk management, and hands-on leadership to unblock delivery challenges and drive continuous improvement.

What we would like you to bring

• Extensive knowledge of WMS solutions (preferably Blue Yonder Discrete) and Contract Logistics operations.
• Proven experience delivering both standardised product roadmaps and customer-specific customised solutions.
• Strong technical architecture and solution governance capabilities, with a focus on scalable and secure systems.
• Solid understanding of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automation, and cloud technologies.
• Demonstrated ability to manage external partners and distributed internal teams across multiple delivery streams.
• Skilled in balancing strategic standardisation with tactical customisation to maintain system integrity.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical topics for stakeholders.
• Strong leadership and organisational skills, with a track record of building capability and fostering collaboration.
