Journeyman Operator -Lima (JO-L) – Skill 2

Overview:

Responsibilities:
The Journeyman Operator shall perform 24/7/365 operational support to the government by performing tasks required to search, detect, identify, intercept, and locate signals of interest and and process voice in support of operations. In addition to producing geolocations, the JO-LIMA provides summary translation of target transmissions. The JO-LIMA mentors less experienced Operators in order to enhance and reinforce the BARKINGBADGER Training Programs and Operational TTPs. TS/SCI wPOLY FEDERAL SECURITY CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED FOR THIS OPENING.

Qualifications:
Collector, Passive, Search and Survey, and at least two (2) active certifications required

Performance at a skill level 2 in audio translation (per the ILR Audio Translation skill level descriptions) from the required language into idiomatic, standard American English (documented skill profeciency within two (2) years of resume submission)

Equivalent of four (4) years full-time combined cryptologic language processing, related language, and/or related cryptologic experience

Pashto, Levantine, Yemeni, Iraqi, Maghrabi, Somali, Russian, and Chechen (NOTE: Yes, I know this list is different; it’s unclear if the omission of Farsi was intentional or an ovesight)
