The Woodburn Aquatic Center (watch our video!) offers fitness, recreational and learn-to-swim programs for individuals of all ages to the Woodburn community and visitors. Facility amenities include a 10 lane swimming pool with water slide, rope swing, group exercise room, party rental room, basketball hoop, wading pool, spa, fitness equipment, and saunas.
The Woodburn Aquatic Center is looking for Lifeguards to join its team. Lifeguards are primarily responsible for performing lifeguard duties care and monitoring use of the Aquatics Center to enforce safety rules and rescue swimmers in distress as needed per training, creating a fun environment and delivering excellent customer service to all guests.
The Aquatics Center will be offering a free Ellis & Associates Lifeguard ILTP Course. If you do not have a current and valid certificate, you can participate in the free class to obtain the required certification.
Applicants need to attend class in person, with covid-19 safety precautions and procedures in place. There is no cost to take the course.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience in a customer service oriented employment. Prior lifeguard experience highly desired. Applicants must be at least 16 years of age; must pass the pre-employment background check; must possess a current and valid Ellis & Associates Lifeguard ILTP Course Completion Certificate or take and pass the free class offer by the City and must be able to work a flexible schedule which includes evenings, weekends, holidays etc. Bilingual (English/Spanish and/or English/Russian) strongly desired.
