This Position is responsible for all tasks at the front desk to include; reception, schedule appointments, check in patients, obtain billing information, provide patient account assistance and maintain electronic medical records.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
1. Schedules appointments; maintains appointments books
2. Calls to remind patients of appointments, assists patients with appointment times, times of operation
and other information
3. Greets and reassures patients
4. Assists patients filling out information for registration, letters, medical records, insurance forms, interclinic
communication
5. Checks current patient information regarding address, phone number, change in insurance status
6. Advises patients of status regarding waiting time to see provider
7. In absence of outreach Worker, provides medical assistance information and forms to patients if
identified with a fee code
8. Uses standard office equipment, e.g. copier, 10 key, fax, Envoy/credit card and computer
9. Files charts, cards and reports
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:Education:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent
2. Graduation from an accredited, state approved Administrative Medical/Medical Receptionist program or equivalent training or experience, including medical terminology.
3. At least 1 year previous experience in medical reception work
Preferred:
1. Experience in community health care setting
2. Bilingual capacity
3. Receptionist/customer service experience
4. Ability to understand and follow moderately complex oral and written instructions
