Summary

Missional University seeks an experienced Odoo Developer who will be responsible to lead and participate in ERP development projects and be involved in all related aspects including app development and integration across our university technological ecosystem. The Odoo Developer will be responsible for identifying design and development solutions to meet academic, administrative, advocacy, and advancement requirements through new module development and customization. The Odoo Developer must have strong knowledge of Core Python programming concepts and be able to lead a team of programmers.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Collect needs and draft ERP application and integration requirements

• Design, develop and test Odoo (OpenERP) modules, projects, products, and interface.

• Maintain existing Odoo databases, installations, and customizations

• Create complete and clear documentation for all tasks/work that is done

• Archive all written code in the appropriate university repository

• Test new functions / modifications / integrations to existing application modules and installations

• Configure, install, and maintain the server and multi-database Odoo environments

• Provide other development tasks in systems developed in Python other than Odoo

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science at an accredited college or university

• At least 5 years of progressively responsible Odoo experience

• Extensive knowledge of Python development frameworks & Linux systems

• Knowledge of front-end development languages and software development lifecycle in an Agile environment

• Excellent command on Odoo Stack Technologies (i.e. Python, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, XML, PostgreSQL etc.)

• Ability to think creatively, collaboratively, and strategically

• Ability to relate interculturally to ethnically diverse backgrounds globally

• A vibrant Christian testimony

• Practical missions experience in his/her own country of origin or beyond

• Agreement with the faith and ethos statements of the Missional University

• Passionate about the mission, vision, and core values of the Missional University
