Description
USAID Advancing Nutrition is the Agency’s flagship nutrition project, led by JSI Research & Training Institute, Inc. (JSI), and a diverse group of experienced partners. Launched in September 2018, USAID Advancing Nutrition implements and provides technical support to nutrition interventions across sectors and disciplines for USAID and its partners. The project’s multi-sectoral approach draws together global nutrition experience to design, implement and evaluate programs that address the root causes of malnutrition. Committed to using a systems approach, USAID Advancing Nutrition strives to sustain positive outcomes by building local capacity, supporting behavior change and strengthening the enabling environment to save lives, improve health, build resilience, increase economic productivity and advance development.
The Project Coordinator will work to keep the Operations Management Team (OMT) and project leadership organized and on-deadline through day-to-day administrative and technical support. S/he will coordinate and backstop project management activities, coordinate high-level internal and external meetings, including meetings with USAID. The Project Coordinator can expect to support project management activities and operational tasks such as maintaining the deliverables trackers and dashboards, processing contract amendments and addendums, annual work planning, reporting and maintaining meetings notes and communications with technical, finance and operations teams. S/he is based in Arlington, VA and will report to the Deputy Project Director. The salary range is $50,000 – $56,238.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Project Coordinator will:
- Support the day-to-day implementation of OMT activities, including meeting coordination and notes dissemination.
- Work closely with the Project Director and Deputy Project Director to monitor upcoming deadlines and to keep them apprised of any issues or delays.
- Maintain the project deliverables tracker with oversight from the Deputy Project Director. Organize and process contract amendments and addendums as needed.
- Support the creation of tools, resources, draft presentations, and other documents, as requested.
- Maintain program management filing system by saving and updating necessary documents including: job descriptions, work plans, budgets, strategy documents, and progress reports.
- Provide basic audio/video IT support to meetings using Zoom and Google Meet.
- Coordinate the annual work planning process and the quarterly reporting process to ensure quality and maintain version control; work closely with the Knowledge Management team to coordinate editing, layout, and/or translation.
- Assist in coordination of interviewing, onboarding, and orientation of new hires.
- Assist in coordinating internal and external events and meetings, including venue procurement, processing vendor payments, planning coordination, materials support, and calendar management.
- Assist in coordinating meetings for USAID Advancing Nutrition, USAID, and external stakeholders including preparation of agendas and notes dissemination.
- Propose, create, implement and maintain team tracking documents as needed.
- Perform other related duties as requested/assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
- Experience: , 1-2 years’ experience working in international health or development ideal. Post-graduate work experience preferred, but work experience through school and/or summers accepted. Recent graduates welcome to apply!
- Computer Skills: Ability to work comfortably in the MS Office Suite and Google Workspace applications, specifically MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides. Familiarity with Slack is preferred.
- Languages: English fluency required; professional proficiency in a second language (French, Russian, or Portuguese) is highly desirable.
