Project Description

We’re looking for a new engineer to join the project for the European operator of the auctions for the electrical exchange capacities throughout all the country borders. This means such operator is one key company on the Energy Markets in Europe by allowing energy exchanges in between countries.

The system is based on Postgres and Java 11 technologies. It has been migrated this year from Oracle and Java 8. The next step our client is looking at with the customer is the possibility to reengineer the User’s Interfaces using later technologies such as Angular (both Market Participant and Operator UIs) . Many interesting market rules and functional evolutions are also expected in the course of 2022, such as moving the products from 1 hour to a 15 mins interval.

We are also looking together with the customer how we can improve market participants automation of their interface, meaning providing more advanced API or Web services to the outside world to facilitate the submission of Offer and analyze the results of the Auctioning system.

Team: 1 engineer + 2 new positions with lead from client side. We’re moving from support stage to active development and technology changes for the platform.

Client is located in Paris, France.

Currently remote work with ability to go to the office if needed.

Responsibilities

Implementation of new features based on client specifications;
Suggestions and implementations of improvements of functionality and performance;
Integration of new tech frameworks;
Support of moving to new UI;
Unit-tests creation;
Defect fixes;
