Project Description

The Olympus Markets Data Strategy team is building a next generation Data Fabric to solve the evolving Business, Analytical and Regulatory needs of the client. The Fabric will bring together disparate data sources for the Global Markets organization and enable industry-leading analytics, client reporting, regulatory, surveillance, supervisory reporting(s) and data science solutions. It will also provide enhanced data quality controls , completeness and accuracy, reconciliations, entitlements, performance, management of data retention and archival per regulatory guidelines.
As part of this program build out the team are developing best in class applications to meet these use cases and managing complex dataapplication migrations to the Olympus Architecture.
This role involves being part of a dynamic team and contributing towards the development of product rollout, software development and applicationdata migrations.
Olympus is based on big data architecture and has multiple streams of work for analytics and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement high-volume, fault-tolerant, scalable backend systems.
• Work closely with product owners and agile team and help develop quality products.
• Develop code, unit tests and documentation.

Skills

Must have

• 3+years of Development experience with expertise in the following:
o C++ Server side development building services with high throughput and Resiliency
o Thorough knowledge of Data structures, algorithms and STL.
o Distributed cache
o SQL experience
o Linux

Nice to have

• Financial background
• Java experience
• No SQL databases
• Good to have – Hadoop Ecosystem (Spark, HDFS, Impala, HIVE, HBASE, etc.)
