The Russian Cybercrime Specialist will have experience conducting proprietary research into Russian-language forums and open sources related to cybercrime. We measure their success by the increase in insights delivered into the Russian-speaking cyber underground, providing customers with unique intelligence as it relates to cryptocurrency and the tools and services fueling devastating cyber attacks.
This candidate is excited to engage in blockchain forensics, keen to take ownership and think creatively, while also being responsive to investigators’ requirements. As such, the candidate exercises disciplined documentation and analytic rigor for exceptional quality control.

Uncovered unique actionable insights contributing to the data platform and broader understanding of cyber threat actors
Played an integral role in crafting collection requirements and execution strategy to maintain best-in-class data
Performed original, native language research to identify and process collections for investigative leads
Worked across internal teams, clients, to provide the contextual narrative for observed cryptocurrency activity
Are a certified cryptocurrency professional with all Chainalysis certifications
A background like this helps:
OSINT or all-source research experience in an intelligence, law enforcement, or academic capacity focused on cybersecurity, transnational crime, or underground activity
Understanding Illicit activity in the current Cyber environment with an emphasis on cryptocurrency
5+ years’ experience producing research products or reporting within the cybersecurity or geopolitical fields
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Must have Russian language reading and writing skills
