Providence is calling a Scheduler – Sleep Laboratory and Electroencephalography (1.0 FTE, Days) to Providence St Vincent Medical Center in Portland, OR.
Work From Home most of the time.
We are seeking a Scheduler – Sleep Laboratory and Electroencephalography that will act as front desk operations including answering multi-line telephone systems, greeting patients, and scheduling appointments in Logician electronic medical record (EMR). Frequent interaction with patients, physician offices, hospital departments and clinical staff.
MAJOR CHALLENGES:
Functioning in a fast paced, multi-site department.
Processing information accurately, thoroughly, and quickly in a busy work environment.
Remaining calm and courteous with multiple phone calls and interruptions.
Flexibility needed to perform a wide variety of tasks and maintain priorities and organization.
Coordination and communication of responsibilities with peers who also work part-time.
In this position, you will:
Provide excellent customer service when interacting with the public, fellow employees, supervisors, and physician offices, so that productivity and positive employee relations are maximized.
With maximum accuracy and efficiency, schedules patients for services and enters appropriate information into Logician EMR.
Exhibit good judgment and problem solving skills when working with patients, families and physician offices.
Answer phone according to protocol, taking accurate and complete messages and relaying information to the appropriate person.
Review patient referrals, identifying and problem solving inaccuracies with clinical staff.
Qualifications:
Required qualifications for this position include:
H.S. Diploma or GED
Office work experience
Experience with data entry
Experience with personal computers using Microsoft Office products
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Medical office work
Experience with Logician EMR
Experience with HBOC
Bilingual in Spanish or Russian a plus
