AVAILABLE POSITIONS SUMMARIES: (Multiple Positions Available)
Community Services Inclusion Support Specialist – The incumbent works with Community Services programs within North Clackamas School District. This position partners with program staff to implement accommodations to enhance accessibility of after-school programming for all children. All NCSD Community Services department youth programs welcome children with disabilities to engage, grow, and learn in a safe social and academic environment. *Specific focus on the needs of children from behavior settings.
After School Program Assistants – The incumbent plans, organizes, and supervises activities designed to meet the physical, emotional, and intellectual needs, and to assure the care and safety of children enrolled in the extended day program. Position provides supervised activities for students during non-school hours, performing duties to support student social development.
Inclusion Assistant for After School CARE Program – The incumbent performs a variety of support duties as assigned by the Inclusion Support Specialist to assist children with identified accommodation needs to be safe and successful in CARE programs. Child needs might include behavioral difficulties, toileting needs, medical protocols, or other supports. The incumbent may also be assigned in one-on-one, assistant-to-child situations when the children have behavioral, emotional or physical disabilities requiring considerable support.
Before School CARE Assistant – The incumbent plans, organizes, and supervises activities designed to meet the physical, emotional, and intellectual needs, and to assure the care and safety of children enrolled in the extended day program. Position provides supervised activities for students during non-school hours, performing duties to support student social development.
CARE Program Site Coordinator – Works under the supervision of a district administrator and under the daily direction of the CARE Program Coordinator. Responsible for being knowledgeable with district policies and procedures and state statutes and guidelines which govern program operations.
Instructional Assistant – The incumbent performs a variety of instructional and classroom support and student supervision duties to assist the school and teachers in instruction, supervision, and education of students.
ELD Bilingual Instructional Assistant (Spanish, Vietnamese, Russian preferred) – The incumbent performs a variety of instructional and classroom support and student supervision duties to assist the school and teachers in instruction, supervision, and education of students, especially with lunch room and recess duties.
Title 1 Instructional Assistant – The incumbent performs a variety of instructional and classroom support and student supervision duties to assist the school and teachers in instruction, supervision, and education of students. While performing instructional duties in support of students and parents, the employee works with students to reinforce reading and math skills to support Title 1 targeted assisted and schoolwide improvement plans to reach high academic standards.
Media Tech, K-8 – Work is performed in an elementary or middle school setting when a certificated media teacher/librarian is not assigned. The Media Technician is responsible for operating the school library/media center; maintains a quality facility to support student learning and literacy development; and provides a welcoming, well-organized, smoothly functioning environment that treats students with respect and patience and allows students, teachers, and staff to fully utilize resources and services.
Work Schedule and Hours:

SALARY:
Initial wage placement according to NCSD/OSEA Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Starting Salary Range: $15.08 – $20.00 depending on position and or experience
Retirement Plan Contributions
North Clackamas School District participates in the Oregon Public Employee Retirement System (PERS and OPSRP) on behalf of its employees. The district contributes the employer portion; there is also a mandatory employee portion. Upon eligibility, which is defined as working at least six full calendar months in a qualifying position, the employee is required to contribute 6% as their employee portion, via payroll deduction. Part-time employees working at least six months and 600 hours in a calendar year will qualify.
