Our bakery creates amazing and nutritious sprouted and organic, naturally leavened baked goods.
We are searching for a skilled, experienced senior level Baker who strives to provide excellent baked items and service in an efficient, professional manner. The Baker will measure and mix raw ingredients, bake and decorate items, and ensure that all raw and finished goods adhere to quality and food safety standards. You will also stock and clean workstations and equipment, and perform other duties to ensure that the required baked product needs are met each day and the bakery is operating smoothly.
To be a successful Senior Baker, you should be efficient and friendly with a focus on food quality and customer satisfaction. You should be organized, decisive, attentive, and possess a strong desire to learn and gain an understanding of our baking techniques.
Baker Responsibilities:
- Assemble all dry and wet goods for production
- Measuring and combining ingredients and using mixers, blenders, heat sources, and other equipment to make baked goods, such as cookies, bread, cakes, etc.
- Ensure that each item meets food safety and quality controls.
- Keeping records relating to deliveries, inventory, and production levels.
- Ensure that baked goods are fulfilled accurately and on time.
- Cleaning and restocking workstations and ensuring that all equipment is sanitized and prepared for the next shift. Clean and prep all baking materials for the specific job
- Work alone or with a team to execute recipes
- Utilize industrial equipment to facilitate efficient production
- Handle all hot or dangerous items with care
- Ensure all baked goods and raw materials are stored and packaged properly
Baker Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Certifications, training and relevant experience
- Strong communication, time and resource management, and planning skills.
- Attention to detail, especially when performing quality inspections on ingredients and products.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Willingness to work independently or with other team members to solve problems, and create amazing baked goods.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including early morning, night, weekend and holiday availability.
- Ability to work in hot, fast paced environment, stand, walk, bend, use hands and appliances, and lift heavy items for extended periods.
- Experience is an asset however we are willing to train the right motivated applicant.
- Salary commensurate with experience
Russian or Ukranian bilingual an asset.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
