Holocaust Community Services (HCS) is hiring a Virtual Systems and Programs Coordinator (VSPC) to coordinate and develop our client-facing virtual programming, our remote service capabilities, and our data infrastructure and analytics. We are seeking a unique combination of technological skills and social services experience to provide critical support to a very special population of aging Holocaust Survivors, and to a team of dedicated social services professionals. The VSPC will play a role in building HCS infrastructure and systems to address current and future virtual needs. English language skills are required for this position and Russian language skills are preferred, though not required.

Technological support for ongoing HCS services. HCS offers an extensive variety of financial and psychosocial services to over 1,800 clients, and we have relied heavily on remote work during the COVID-19 pandemic. While we are beginning to transition back to office-based and in-person work, remote services will continue simultaneously. The VSPC will be responsible for continuing to develop remote workflows and processes that best support staff in completing their work. In cooperation with our CJE IT and Research departments, this position will support and enhance virtual client assessment processes, electronic forms, data management, and outcomes tracking.
Coordinate and support implementation of virtual survivor support groups, wellness classes, and inter- and intra-agency programming. Help build strong infrastructure for our current virtual programming and develop new content in partnership with agency staff and external partners, as well as provide technical support to staff and participants.
Coordinate virtual and hybrid socialization events for survivors, along with our HCS event planning committee. Past programs have included “Café Europa” gatherings, Shabbat and birthday programming, intergenerational programs, and Holocaust commemorations. This position will be responsible for taking the lead on all virtual and remote aspects of event planning and implementation, and will help cross-train other HCS staff in best practices and strategies for hosting successful virtual programs with older adults.
Manage tech-related grant funded programs. HCS currently offers a grant-funded, virtual socialization, wellness, and telehealth platform called Uniper to our clients. This position will comprehensively manage the Uniper program including communicating with staff and project funders to track needs and progress; evaluating Uniper utilization and engagement data in partnership with Uniper and independently; completing quarterly reporting; and liaising between our Care Managers, clients, Uniper staff, and other partners. This position will also be involved in coordination of a Mental Health Outreach Initiative which is currently funded through the Jewish United Fund and which includes funding for technology devices for clients and staffing to support the implementation and use of those devices. Other responsibilities may be assigned as HCS seeks continued and additional grant funding to support remote services and virtual programming, both independently and in partnership with CJE and other agencies.
Tasks and Accountabilities:
Produce email, written correspondence, program materials, and reports with a high level of accuracy and effective communication.
Attention to detail, organization, and ability to clearly and succinctly present on projects and progress are key.
Take initiative, anticipate needs, and problem solve to drive projects forward.
Support HCS staff of varying technical abilities to enhance and develop virtual programming, efficient data management, and client communications.
Work closely with HCS staff and liaise with other CJE departments and external partners to coordinate and ensure smooth project and event planning and execution.
Participate in staff meetings and weekly individual supervision.
Work well independently and within a team. Seek supervision and consultation when appropriate.
Learn and utilize knowledge of HCS and community funding sources for program/event budgeting and to develop potential new partnerships.
Learn and follow Agency and HCS policies and procedures for providing services to clients.
Understand the confidential nature of client and CJE information and comply with all confidentiality requirements.
Maintain records and perform other record keeping functions as required by Agency and HCS.
Based on interest and/or need, lead and participate in professional presentations and community education, serve on agency committees as assigned, and demonstrate a willingness and openness to enhance professional self and skills.

Education and/or Experience
Graduate of an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in related field (social work, psychology, IT, project management, etc.); Master’s Degree preferred
At least two years’ experience in a professional role requiring advanced technological proficiency with virtual platforms and electronic/digital data management systems/applications (e.g. Zoom, Office 365 – Teams/Forms, Adobe Pro, etc.)
Experience in a social services, nonprofit, or related field
Preferred: knowledge of older adults and/or of the Holocaust and its impact on aging Holocaust survivors and their families
Language Skills
English oral and written fluency is required
Bilingual in/knowledge of Russian preferred
Corporate Compliance

This position has responsibility for HIPAA compliance.
Exposure to bloodborne pathogens is not likely to occur in this position.
