Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Adjunct Faculty instructors at College of DuPage are responsible for course planning and instruction in classroom, lab, or clinical settings, courses may be conducted in various delivery modes, such as, face-to-face, on-line, hybrid and/or blended formats. In addition, adjunct faculty are responsible for student evaluation, and timely and accurate submission of required paperwork related to instruction.
Required Qualifications:
Continuing Education courses are short, focused courses offered for personal growth and enrichment. We are seeking instructors to teach various languages to adults for the spring and summer semesters.
Current vacancies in Foreign Languages include French, Hindi, Korean, Polish, Russian, Spanish and Sign Language. Most courses meet once a week for three hours each on a weekday evening or Saturday morning for 5-7 weeks. No academic credit is awarded. Instructors should be fluent in both the foreign language and English, with a minimum of two years’ teaching experience preferred. Instructors will be required to submit a CE New Course Proposal for any new courses they wish to teach.
Instructors should be able to teach online (via Zoom) and in-person at the Glen Ellyn campus.
Ability to teach remotely with technology and experience in online or virtual teaching preferred.
Access to personal technology, home computer with appropriate ability to teach online required.
