CONSTRUCTION HELPER

Salary: $20.00 – $22.00 per hour; a raise after the probation period;

Job Type: permanent, full-time, over-time;

Start Date: as soon as possible;

Language: English. Russian and Ukrainian are an asset;

Minimum Education: secondary school;

Positions Available: 1;

Work experience: no; training will be provided;

Job Location: all over Lower Mainland with base in Port Coquitlam;

Company Description:
Our company is a general construction contracting company based in Port Coquitlam, specializing in waterproofing and deck coating commercial buildings. We have employment opportunity for Construction helpers.

Job duties:

• Assist team supervisor in waterproofing and deck coating;
• Drive a company’s vehicle;
• Deliver or hold materials or tools to help team supervisor and provide assistance in other activities;
• Load, unload and transport construction materials;
• Select tools, equipment, and materials from storage and transport items to work site;
• Deliver tools, nails, glue and other materials to work site;
• Operate various hand and power tools;
• Clean and prepare surfaces;
• Perform other activities at construction sites, as directed by team supervisor;

Skills requirement:

• The candidate should be able to lift 40 lbs.;
• Requires lifting, pulling and carrying of equipment and other objects;
• Candidate should be willing to work outdoors, indoors and all-weather conditions.
• Basic knowledge of English is required. Russian and Ukrainian are an asset!

Mandatory work gear:

• Hard hat;
• Safety vest;
• Steel toe boots;
• Other personal protection equipment will be provided by the company;
