Project Description
We are looking for open-minded and skilled engineers to extend our development team.
Our client delivers innovative, end-to-end media software and networking solutions to over 3,000 customers in more than 185 countries, including the top broadcast facilities and the most technologically advanced sports and live-event venues.
One of important product is industry’s first cloud-native platform, microservices-based and modular playout solution designed from the ground-up for pure-IP, geo-dispersed environments based on commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) hardware.
Aim of the project is development and maintenance of this platform.
The project require some generic understanding of video/audio processing.
Responsibilities
Lead and/or participate on a team designing, developing, and testing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS solutions on Cloud, On-Prem, and Hybrid platforms.
Collaborate with core R&D Architecture, Development, and QA team members on the design and implementation of IaC solutions to support CICD pipelines.
Work within a great team following Agile software development practices.
Skills
Must have
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / related discipline or equivalent industry experience.
– Knowledge of JSON, XML and XML web services.
– 2+ years professional software development/DevOps experience
– Proven ability to work independently and with teams; designing, developing and deploying solutions, delivering projects on time with minimal direction.
– Adaptability – willingness to learn new tools, languages, and processes.
– Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills
– Well-developed oral & written communication skills
– Clean Coder – Elegant code that works, is easy to read and maintain.
– Experience with distributed Source Control (Git or Mercurial).
– Expertise with agile software development practices.
– Strong fundamental knowledge of Linux (OS, networking, virtualization, etc.)
– Experience with Infrastructure as Code and Automation through Scripting. Terraform
– Knowledge of DevOps principles and best practices.
– Strong end-to-end understanding of CI/CD architecture, processes, frameworks, and methodology.
Nice to have
– Knowledge on the following areas is an asset:
– MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 video and audio compression;
– Digital Video formats including: NTSC, PAL, SDI, and HD-SDI;
– Uncompressed IP video and audio data (i.e. 2022-6 and 2110).
