As an SAP Basis Consultant you ensure that the SAP systems runs stable and performant, are up to date and comply to the cybersecurity requirements.

You’ll make an impact by:

  • System management, server adjustments, system upgrades, database upgrades, system setup and copies, as well as interface administration in SAP (HCM) systems

  • Updates of system components and SAP systems, performance management and monitoring of SAP systems

  • Execution of Transports in Rev-Trac as well as follow-up work on productive SAP systems

  • Implementation and administration of various Interfaces to SAP and Non-SAP Systems

  • Planning and implementation of version changes (monthly go-live of patches and developments)

  • Ongoing and periodic security adjustments to comply with Siemens cybersecurity requirements

  • Provision of evaluations for audits

  • Management of certificates and firewall settings

  • Communication with SAP and creation of OSS messages in case of problems

  • Support on moving SAP systems from on-premise to the cloud

  • Consulting in SAP Projects

Your defining qualities:

  • At least 5 years of experience working in a SAP environment (Basis): SAP HCM, SAP BW, S/4 HANA DB, Linux Interface Server

  • Deep Knowledge in the Release Management and Transport Tool Rev-Trac

  • Knowledge of the Interface technologies: RFC, https, Fiori, SFTP, OpenFT)

  • Knowledge about SAP in a cloud environment

  • Knowledge about the Authorization System in ABAP and HANA

  • Familiarity with the ticket tools Jira and ServiceNow

  • University degree in Information Technology or a related field; alternatively, you have several years of relevant work experiences

  • Business-level proficiency in English and German (fluently both written and spoken)

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the attention to detail and ability to follow instructions complete your profile

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in virtual teams

  • A customer-focused approach to work

  • Good communication and presentation abilities

  • Ability to quickly adapt and learn new things
